comedic sharpness

A fabulous comic storyteller (at Fringe Encore)

I'm not too much for comedy, but totally appreciated Jon's stories about ... well about everything, including living as an Aussie in the US and as a touring artist without a home. Great news that you can see Jon at the Fringe Encore at Hudson Phipps in two weeks.

In a truly great Fringe year,

this was my favorite show. He starts funny and a little crude (but not bad), and then.. but I don’t want to give spoilers. See it fresh. If you love powerful storytelling, memoir, and non-Americans’ perspectives on our country, go see this one -

One of the best shows I’ve seen!

Loved this show! I haven’t seen Jon Bennett before but was recommended by a friend who is a huge fan. This was so unique and not like other comedy shows I’ve seen. I would recommend everyone to see this show!

Clever & funny

Great use of visual media to complement his storytelling. Handles some dark topics but does so with humor. Great interaction with the audience. We laughed a ton!

So Much Fun, Go To the Hudson, WI Encore!

An Aussie in America! Jon Bennet was fantastic from laughs to deep sorrow of how he was treated during the pandemic. We are so lucky that this world traveler has found the home and is able to travel again. SEE THIS SHOW AGAIN, OR FOR THE FIRST TIME, AT THE PHILLIP ENCORE!

The Best

He always has a great delivery and keeps you at the edge of your seat with what is coming next. He uses his real world experiences and turns it into such a funny show!

Sex, Drugs, and Rock'n'Roll

(Assuming that the opening music counts as rock.) This is quite a fun show, very energetic and very wide ranging. He engages the audience from the start and never lets them go. The basic theme is the plight of an itinerant performer stuck in the time of Covid.

Funny & Heartfelt

This guy is always entertaining to listen to! I could feel his frustration with his immigration experience and rooted for him all the way. The ending took a surprisingly laughable twist. Understandable that he and Martin Dockery are friends - their manic styles of delivery are quite similar. Well done!

Great Story, Wonderfully Told!

Jon has a unique tale to tell, about one of the saddest moments we have all endured, (yes, the pandemic) and it's a rollicking ride. So heartfelt and marvelously funny, as he manages to carry us along on a journey through insane experiences, during insane times. So much humanity, and hilarity in this amazing short story. A must see!!

Jon is such a wonderful storyteller.

I'll admit, I've been a fan of his from shows at Orlando Fringe, and was thrilled to see he was here. As usual, he delivered a sharp, humorous narrative about his life. The show ends and you are left wanting to hear more for no other reason than he is such a likable human.
